Responsibilities
Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
Describe and serve all food and beverage items to guest
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
With support of the Management Team participate and manage the breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations
Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Impact
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Drive cocktail menu changes to ensure fresh, innovative and seasonally accurate cocktails are present on the cocktail list. This includes meeting established deadlines for cocktail and recipe completion as well as introducing the cocktails to the staff during training sessions
Lead quarterly all staff training sessions on pre-determined beverage and service related topics
With Support of the Management Team manage and control the procurement, inventory and pricing of beverages for the restaurant including meeting with beverage distribution representatives. Working with the beverage purchasing department to stock, fill and create requisitions on a daily basis
Provide training to all new staff on the beverage operation, as well as, provide training to all new bar staff specifically throughout their training program
Keep accurate accounts of all cash banks, turn in required cash drops nightly and produce bank to be audited when necessary

Qualification
Required
High school education or equivalent experience
Four years food service or related work in a luxury bar or lounge atmosphere
Ability to carry and balance a tray
Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
Preferred
Bartender Certificate
