2026 Summer College Internship
The State of Ohio is offering a Summer Internship Program for undergraduate students interested in exploring careers in political science, communications, business, and public administration. Interns will gain hands-on experience while supporting projects in elections administration and business services, contributing to work that directly impacts Ohioans.

Responsibilities
Gain a broad understanding of the Secretary of State’s role in elections administration and business services
Support projects in external affairs, communications, elections, public integrity, operations, and administration
Assist staff in preparing for elections, public outreach events, and other office initiatives
Participate in professional development opportunities and learn from experienced public service professionals
Contribute to work that directly impacts Ohioans
Qualification
Required
Be enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited college, university, or community college
Be in good academic standing (minimum 2.5 GPA recommended)
Demonstrate interest in government, elections, communications, or public service
