Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including cash management, inventory control, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries within a computerized accounting system

Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes

Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements

Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits

Provide financial insight through daily reporting, pro forma scenario development, forecasting, and strategic planning analyses

Supervise and manage accounting assistants performing supporting tasks

Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Five (5) or more years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Strong accounting, financial, and analytical skills

Experience with accounting and financial software systems

Sound and consistent business judgment with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data

High attention to detail to ensure complete, accurate, and consistent work

Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn quickly

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Commitment to process improvement and standard work practices

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
