Senior Director, Development Operations

National Jewish Health is seeking a Senior Director of Development Operations to work with Development leadership in establishing best practices and strategies for fundraising success. The role involves overseeing development communications and prospect research, managing staff, and driving data-led fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance, and resources. Determines staff qualifications and competency: recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards. Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance
Drives strategic, data-led fundraising efforts by providing vision and direction to Development Operations
Oversees and manages strategic and administrative functions of Development, including communications, , prospect research, database management, pipeline development, and stewardship
Oversees departmental expense reconciliation and revenue forecasting
Responsible for database management, maintenance, and reporting, including tracking, metrics, and data analytics
Support key metrics for fundraising success and provide progress reporting to all departmental staff and key stakeholders
Reviews and updates current standard operating procedures to optimize the Development Operations functions, creating new procedures as necessary
Provides strategic oversight of the prospect management function, ensuring strategies are developed to expand the prospect pipeline for portfolios to move donors through the qualification process
Serves as key liaison across Planned Giving, Special Events, and Major Gift teams to build strengthened portfolios and pipeline of donors
Serves as department liaison to the Finance department

Required

Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of 7 years of fundraising or related experience required
