Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of telecom technicians and network engineers in delivering BOMs, schematics, and infrastructure documentation
Oversee the review and approval of network diagrams, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer requirements
Develop and enforce engineering standards and best practices across all projects
Collaborate with Architecture and IT Network Engineering teams to define long-term roadmaps, including LTE integration strategies
Conduct site surveys and client consultations to assess service needs and guide network planning
Manage LTE deployment projects, including small cell, DAS, and macro network components
Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting complex network issues, including LTE performance and interoperability
Facilitate cross-functional communication between field teams, installation crews, and executive stakeholders
Deliver training programs and technical workshops to upskill team members
Support business decision-making with data-driven insights and technical recommendations
This role will include travel up to 50% to our field locations
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
7+ years of telecom/network engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Hands-on experience with LTE network design, configuration, and troubleshooting
Strong background in physical transport protocols (Copper, Fiber, ATM, PPP, MAN) and IP Management/Subnetting
Familiarity with firewalls, proxies, Linux OS, and IPSEC
Deep understanding of telecom infrastructure, including PBX systems, VOIP/SIP, LAN/WAN, and LTE technologies
Proven experience with LTE architecture, including EPC, eNodeB, and RF planning
Strong leadership and project management skills in high-paced environments
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio) and network design tools such as AirMagnet and RF propagation software
Exceptional communication and documentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results under pressure
Advanced proficiency in Visio for network diagramming
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Adtran ASP, Ruckus Rex, WiSE-SZ, RWCA-SE, Net+, and LTE-specific credentials
Experience with network monitoring tools like Orion, Zabbix, and SSL-based systems
Knowledge of 5G evolution and LTE-to-5G migration strategies
