Responsibilities
Handle materials, ensuring delivery to the appropriate workstations throughout the plant
With instruction, complete warehouse management system transactions
Complete specified functions of 5S responsibilities: sort, set in order, shine, sustain, safety
Sort products into location and in the warehouse management system
Support inventory control by conducting scheduled cycle counts and delegated inventory tasks
Kit finished and semi-finished goods to specifications from orders utilizing a combination of packaging materials and instructions with a high degree of accuracy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehousing, and production, to streamline workflows and optimize stock levels
Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Work as part of a team
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous warehousing experience preferred
For Material Handler II: 2+ years of experience
Ability to lift and/or move up to 40lbs daily
Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time
Astute attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
Ability to perform visual checks and handle material responsibly
Basic computer and data entry skills
Preferred
Certification in inventory management or ERP systems (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, or ERP-specific training)
Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other process improvement frameworks
Knowledge of inventory best practices, including FIFO, cycle counting
Knowledge of ITAR, FAR, DFARS, and other government contract requirements related to inventory management and warehouse operations
