AV Service Technician - Crestron (DFW Area)
TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking an AV Service Technician to service their existing customers in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve AV issues, interface with enterprise customers, and manage multiple service projects.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues found in Board rooms and conference rooms
Service existing customers in the Dallas - Fort Worth area
Provide in person troubleshooting of audio video systems found in executive board rooms and conference centers
Reverse engineer legacy AV systems
Debug newly built systems
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with various AV products and systems
Conduct Preventative Maintenance testing
Perform site surveys related to service agreement quotes
Write concise service reports and or system site surveys
Manage multiple service projects
Lead and mentor junior/intermediate level field service techs
Qualification
Required
Potential candidates must reside in the DFW area
Minimum of 7-8 or more years of experience with AV integration and/ or AV field service
AV troubleshooting - Looking for someone who can troubleshoot and understands Crestron systems
Ability to reverse engineer legacy AV systems
Ability to debug newly built systems
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with the following products and related systems: Extron equipment, Biamp, QSC audio DSP products and systems, Cisco, POLY, LOGITECH video conference systems, Luxul, NETGEAR, CISCO switches, Video wall systems: Planar, UNILUMEN, LG, Samsung, Barco products and systems
Someone that has done testing with multimeter and can troubleshoot issues
Ability to research and specify replacement products
Intermediate to advanced AV Networking skills
Ability to crimp and solder cabling and connectors
Advanced knowledgeable of signal flow and low voltage electrical concepts; i.e., Ohms law
Someone that does customer service work and interfaces with customers regularly
Ability to conduct Preventative Maintenance testing
Ability to write concise service reports and or system site surveys
Excellent Verbal And Written Skills
Ability to successfully manage multiple service projects
Ability to lead and mentor junior/intermediate level field service techs
A two-year diploma from a college of technical school, or equivalent experience
3 Years Minimum Field Service Experience
Must maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record
Must be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time
Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
Audiovisual, Cat6, Audio, Service, Video conferencing, Installation
Preferred
CTS Certification Highly Preferred, Or Equivalent Experience
