PART TIME RECEPTIONIST
LOGAN Community Resources is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Part-Time Receptionist will serve as the building receptionist and switch-board operator, handling phone calls, greeting visitors, and providing administrative support to staff.

Responsibilities
Responsible for answering and expediting all incoming calls to staff/departments in a pleasant and professional manner
Document messages and distribute to appropriate persons
Screen calls/visitors and direct visitors to staff person/meeting in a pleasant and professional manner
Monitor and assist visitors waiting in the lobby
Ensure visitors sign in/out and ensure they are escorted by LOGAN staff beyond the lobby area
Maintain logs for accountability and safety purposes
Maintain interoffice mail
Meter outgoing mail tray for daily pick up from post office
Create daily sign-in/out sheets for staff and visitors
Schedule and monitor the use of building conference rooms using Outlook calendar
Provide administrative and clerical support to staff as requested and approved by immediate supervisor
Complete special projects/assignments
Secure and distribute staff and client checks on designated dates
Work cooperatively with all vendors providing services to the building
Collect monies, write receipts and maintain spreadsheets as instructed by finance, PSB, Pathways, and Development staff
Assist in coordinating coverage in the event of a planned absence
Ensure the lobby desk and reception areas are clean, organized, and overall well-kept to project a professional atmosphere
Assist with holiday decorating of the lobby
Responsible for the health and safety of visitors and persons served
The receptionist is expected to promote a positive work environment by maintaining a distraction free area around the front desk, directing those staff having questions or complaints to their immediate supervisor
Serve as an advocate and protect the rights of persons served
Participate in trainings/meetings as requested by supervisor
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Familiar with switchboard capabilities and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook
Ability to communicate clearly and in a courteous and professional manner both in person and over the telephone
Must be able to take directions and follow through with requests in an accurate and timely manner
Ability to be flexible and willing to learn new office skills as required
Preferred
At least one year of previous receptionist experience preferred
