Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining accurate cost standards for materials and labor
Review production reports and verify data accuracy within SAP
Prepare and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and production reports
Reconcile inventory accounts and assist with month-end close activities
Monitor and research cost variances, including purchase price variances (PPV)
Prepare journal entries related to cost accounting
Support quarterly and annual cost reviews and annual updates to standard rates
Collaborate with operations and IT to improve cost reporting processes
Assist with implementation of costing functionality for new products or departments
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting/business administration required
2+ years of accounting experience in industry or audit or a combination of both
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Preferred
Costing and/or manufacturing experience preferred
CPA preferred
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
