Responsibilities

Lead in the preparation of complete project documents from design development reports through construction documents

Independently evaluate, select, and apply advanced structural design techniques, procedures, and criteria to projects

Effectively manage multi-discipline teams, assign tasks and direct other engineers, technicians and administrative staff

Collection and analysis of existing data by performing field investigations of existing structures and review of as-built plans and engineering reports to establish existing conditions and identify critical areas for design criteria

Identify project opportunities and assists with proposals to provide professional services for engineering projects or programs

Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for projects

Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships

Evaluate and manage planning, design and construction support services for projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited University

15 years+ of structural design experience, in water resource related work

PE License required

Proficient knowledge of relevant Industry and Agency Design Codes and Standards

Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with structural analysis software, specifically seismic analysis procedures

Experience with structural refurbishment, repair, seismic upgrades, and alterations of concrete structures, hydro power facilities or hydraulic steel structures

Demonstrated Industry Expertise and knowledge of principles and practices related to hydro and hydro power projects

Travel may be required (15% of the time)
