Responsibilities
Permitting and performing design work and engineering calculations on civil site development projects
Regular client interaction is required in this role
Ability to write technical specifications and bid documents
Perform construction administration which includes construction site visits and coordination with the client and contractor
Prepare grading and drainage plans and reports
Multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain registration within 6 months of hire
5+ years' experience in working in the field of Civil Engineering Design
Strong AutoCAD and computer-based civil design skills
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications
Progressive experience in planning, design, and permitting of civil site design, drainage improvement, and small transportation projects
Ability to write technical specifications and bid documents
Strong understanding of stormwater hydraulics and hydrology
Strong understanding of how to effectively prepare grading and drainage plans and reports
Ability to perform construction administration which includes construction site visits and coordination with the client and contractor
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks
Highly client service oriented, self-starter, and team player
Ability to solve problems
Excellent time management skills
The ability to work a regular schedule of 730AM - 530PM Mon-Thurs and 730AM - 1130AM Fri with additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines
