Director of Business Development, Enterprise HPC

Responsibilities
Own the strategy and execution of AMD’s EPYC server business across Automotive, Aerospace, Semiconductor and energy sectors, with the primary goal of growing volume and share
Become AMD’s “go to” person for HPC and Manufacturing solutions, leading a team to enable AMD’s sales and marketing organizations to create demand and acquire new business
Lead the engagement with key ISV’s, driving deep partnerships across engineering and go-to-market disciplines. Develop joint messaging, co-marketing and mutual growth plans with strategic ISV’s to accelerate AMD’s growth
Play a key role in transforming the EPYC go-to-market motion to have a solutions focus, integrating HW + SW messaging into a streamlined value prop that helps customers understand how AMD solutions address their most critical technology needs
Partner with sales to support Enterprise customer engagements, driving executive engagement, educating the customer on AMD’s value prop, executing POC’s, and driving deals to closure
Support broader efforts and engagements with channel partners and GSI’s, focused on HPC and Manufacturing sectors
Qualification
Required
A strong drive to 'win,' combined with sound business perspective
High level of confidence, maturity and integrity
Open communication style and presence to work effectively at all levels
Honest and trustworthy in dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues, and partners
Ability to listen to the customer and articulate the customer's needs internally
Experience working with customers to scope and deliver IT solutions (HW + SW) to customers to help them address their development, business and IT needs
Proven track record of strategic planning and ability to execute to plan

Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
Preferred
Demonstrated success in a comparable role, owning the success of driving verticals and workloads focused approach
An established background in datacenter business with at least 10 years' progressive experience in key verticals within and across an organization
Strong knowledge of HPC and Industrial ISV solutions, with experience in winning or deploying these solutions with end customers
Strong historical interaction and relationship building within key customers
