Senior Manager of Human Resources

Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to HR by designing workflows, developing policies, and ensuring the foundational framework is compliant in all functional areas so that the HR function supports business needs and fosters a positive employee experience
Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are legally compliant, consistently applied, and effectively communicated in order to foster a transparent, fair, and legally sound workplace environment that builds trust and reduces liability
Manage total compensation, job design, and benefit programs, ensuring alignment with business goals, employee needs, and compliance requirements in order to attract and retain top talent
Oversee employee relations activities and creates, updates, and enforces HR policies and procedures that comply with all applicable laws and regulations to maintain positive employee relations and ensure a respectful, compliant workplace culture
Serve as a point of contact for employees and vendors
Respond to inquiries professionally and resolve issues with accountability and empathy
Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership
Follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
Maintain accurate documentation and records
Partner with team members and leaders to support department goals
Contribute to key performance metrics, service levels, and operational plans
Demonstrate behaviors aligned with AAA Washingon’s vision, mission, and values
Foster a respectful, collaborative, and inclusive work environment
Consistent delivery of accurate, high-quality work

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (BA) in business, human resources, or related field or equivalent experience
6+ years' experience in Human Resources management in all functional areas including employee relations, performance management, retention, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and analytics
5+ years' experience in leadership or management role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Comprehensive understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
Ability to build HR practices through identification and discovery
Ability to establish, nurture, and optimize key internal and external partnerships and influence organizational change
Working knowledge of HRIS
Preferred
Masters' Degree
SHRM certification preferred
