Director of Operations

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients through world-class cancer care. The Director of Operations will oversee process improvement initiatives, manage a geographically dispersed team, and ensure compliance with operational standards to enhance patient satisfaction and organizational productivity.

Responsibilities

Oversee the implementation and compliance of various process improvement initiatives to improve patient throughput and quality
Manage a territory of NYCBS practices by providing leadership to a geographically dispersed team
Provide guidance and support to key personnel at sites relating to day to day operations
Develop, implement and execute projects to increase patient satisfaction and organizational productivity
Collaborate with leadership on improving workflows and mechanisms to increase efficiency and productivity
Develop and evaluate new protocols with the goal of standardizing processes focused on providing improved quality care to patients
Serve as an active participant in the acquisition and merging of new practices
Monitor inventory of medical supplies as well as oversight of laboratory services
Oversee Corporate Compliance Program with members of Administration
Participate in volunteer opportunities benefiting the organization and its patients
Optimize daily operations by fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement. Establish operational and performance goals for each department to ensure KPIs are met
Train and mentor staff as required
Travel to NYCBS locations in the Hudson Valley, Washington Heights, and the Bronx

Required

Reliable transportation; Traveling required to the following locations, Hudson Valley, Washington Heights, and the Bronx
Bachelor's degree required
5+ year's proven managerial/supervisory experience in a health care environment
5+ years' experience in working in busy multispecialty practices
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Superior writing, editing and proofreading expertise
Strong organizational and time management skills, a must
High comfort level working with various systems
Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
