Aerospace Engineering Intern
Trusted Space, LLC is a company that builds solutions for missions vital to the Nation’s defense, intelligence, and science sectors. They are seeking Aerospace Engineering and/or Data Science Interns to work on projects involving trajectory design, state estimation techniques, and machine learning model explainability. Interns will apply their knowledge to real-world problems and collaborate with senior leaders while developing valuable skills.
Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of astrodynamics, orbital mechanics, spacecraft dynamics, and/or machine learning to real world problems
Work with real and simulated data
Learn new skills and tools (i.e., optimal control in cislunar space, novel state estimation techniques, new coding languages, object-oriented programming, and model interpretability)
Research, investigate and fix a wide range of technical issues
Collaborate with senior leaders who will assist you with applying your expertise and developing skills
At the conclusion of the internship, the Aerospace Engineering/Data Science intern(s) will deliver a dynamic presentation that showcases their work
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field
Ability to work independently and to collaborate in teams
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Applicants for this intern position must be a US citizen
Programming experience with either MATLAB or Python
Preferred
Interest in working on projects related to aerospace or machine learning
Familiar with the Agile methodology
Familiar with git version control
Strong interpersonal skills
