Customer Service Representative I - Court Operations
The City of Houston is seeking Customer Service Representatives for their Court Operations Division. The role involves interacting with law enforcement, the public, and court staff while performing various administrative duties related to bond administration and data management.

Responsibilities
Interface with law enforcement officials for the verification of warrants and notifications
High level of direct contact with the general public, attorneys, court staff and law enforcement
Processing of bond forfeitures and administrative duties related to bond administration
Data entry of incoming citations
Quality review and updating of data and scanned documents
Scanning of court documents into Court’s Case Management System
Must be willing to submit to annual background checks
Other administrative and customer service-related responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Requires a high school diploma or a GED
Six months of administrative or customer service-related experience is required
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
Must be able to travel to another court location on short notice
Must be willing to submit to annual background checks
Preferred
Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for
Preferences will be given to candidates with heavy customer service experience
Prior court, legal or paralegal experience as well as knowledge of court policies and procedures is a plus
Experience in Windows and Microsoft office environment (Word, Excel, Outlook)
