The Accounting Manager will oversee daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while managing the general ledger and leading the monthly close process.

Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain the general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
Monitor and report on key financial metrics and variances
Ensure that the monthly close is completed in the first five days of each month
Prepare the monthly report file
Prepare variance analysis of major accounts
Prepare job costing reports periodically
Prepare the weekly accounting dashboard
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
Maintain the chart of accounts
Coordinate the provision of information to external and external auditors
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Prepare and file tax documents and regulatory reports
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with other departments
Provide training and development opportunities
Qualification
Required
A minimum 5 years of experience and a progressive responsibility experience for a major company or division of a large corporation
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration
Ability to relate to employees and understand their needs
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work
Excellent time management skills
Task oriented excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work load
Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, sensitive to client needs, self-motivated, creative and innovative
Excellent problem solving skills
High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Outlook
