Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and support activities for the Lottery’s ServiceNow platform used to automate Lottery business processes and services

This position requires a current IT Specialist I exam
Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned
Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee
Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: 'telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.'
Schedule: This position supports the Lottery during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise approved by the unit manager. Weekends, long and/or irregular hours, after-hours work, and holiday work may be required
Travel: Statewide overnight travel may be required
Other: This position may be required to carry a Lottery issued cell phone. This position may be required to be reachable outside of normal business hours

Preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience facilitating meetings, and performing briefings/presentations to all levels of the organization. Ability to convey and explain complex problems and solutions to a technical and non-technical audience
Expert knowledge of data analytics methodologies, principles, and practices, including planning, requirements analysis, statements of work, and risk management, ETL processes and tools, data quality techniques, and understanding of data warehousing concepts
Experience performing and documenting critical analysis of complex business problems, data extraction, troubleshooting data anomalies, and presenting findings to key stakeholders and technical staff
Experience as a data analyst on a Business Intelligence or cloud-based application development team that utilizes Microsoft Data Analytics tools or similar including hands-on experience leading design sessions and conducting QA and peer-reviews
Experience developing and implementing procedures, standards, and processes, business requirements, test plans, mockups, and visualizations
Experience establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with both business and technical stakeholders
Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and quickly respond to urgent matters
Ability to work independently as a high-level technical specialist and conduct business activities in a professional manner
Professional certifications such as CBAP, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst, PMI-PBA, SQL certifications, Lean Six Sigma, PMP
