United Surgical Partners International, Inc is partnering with Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth, TX, to hire a Full Time Registered Nurse for Pre Admission Testing (PAT). The RN will ensure all necessary records are gathered, review patient charts for any issues, provide preoperative instructions, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

The RN in this role ensures all necessary records, results and studies are gathered and are on the chart for review

The RN will review the patient chart for any deficits that may prevent the patient from having surgery and work with necessary personnel to resolve the issue

The RN provides the patient with preoperative instructions in advance of surgery

The RN may have additional responsibilities as designated by the manager, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects

Required

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Texas RN License

Current BLS, must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire

Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of the patient

Demonstrates discretionary ability in establishing priority

Uses nursing judgment in decision-making

Able to recognize and intervene in stressful situations and perform effectively in stressful situations to fulfill position responsibilities
