Responsibilities

Designs, develops, and implements Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI dashboards to meet business needs
Develops and documents business rules and technical requirements for Power Platform applications
Assists in the development and implementation of goals, priorities, and policies relating to District-wide application development and management
Provides technical guidance and support for Power Platform-related solutions, including user training and troubleshooting
Designs, develops, tests and implements new systems to meet user requirements and needs. Directs the work of programmers in the development, testing and implementation of complex programs
Gathers and analyzes information regarding user systems and requirements; conducts feasibility studies and develops system, time, equipment and cost requirements; develops or modifies automated systems to fulfill those needs using computer generated techniques
Confers with user division staff regarding assigned functional program areas
Assists in the development and implementation of goals, priorities and policies relating to District-wide information management
Conducts special studies and projects involving administrative, organizational management analyses related to telecommunications, and network and multi-user data systems; prepares and presents recommendations and reports on system use, budget projections, and system designs and procedures
Maintains current knowledge of technology and new computer user applications
Oversees the staff and activities of assigned projects

Required

Equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with major coursework in computer science, mathematics or a closely related field and two years of experience in systems design and analysis, systems programming, network and systems administration and/or data and voice communications

Preferred

Extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, with demonstrated expertise in data visualization best practices
Proven ability to implement low-code/no-code solutions that streamline business processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve user experience
Strong understanding of Dataverse and integration with multiple data sources for secure and efficient data management
Experience establishing or contributing to a Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE), including governance, standardization, and best practices for low-code/no-code development
Knowledge of application security and compliance requirements for cloud-based and web-based solutions
Familiarity with UI/UX principles, including accessibility standards (e.g., ADA compliance) for government organizations
Advanced problem-solving and data analysis skills, with the ability to design scalable and user-friendly solutions
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and customer-focused support
