Responsibilities

This position supports CDPH’s mission and strategic plan by serving as a highly skilled Lean Specialist in the Office of Policy and Planning (OPP), Lean Transformation Branch (LTB)

The Lean Specialist serves as an independent technical consultant, provides Lean project management and facilitation to CDPH in a variety of difficult and sensitive workstreams, and leads statewide projects and change management processes to support continuous improvement in complex, politically sensitive, and high-profile programs

Under the general direction of the SSM II (Supervisory), Lean transformation section manager, the Lean Specialist will implement the Lean transformation and organizational culture change program, plan, and directives for the workforce at all levels across CDPH and extend Lean best practices throughout California Local Health Departments

The incumbent will work independently, as well as within a team, collaboratively and collegially to ensure that Lean transformation and improvement goals are achieved and sustained throughout CDPH Centers, Divisions, and Offices
