Responsibilities
Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and approval
Match invoices with purchase orders and receipt documents
Ensure proper coding and classification of expenses
Regularly monitor vendor accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies
Develop and implement strategies to improve and streamline accounts payable processes
Maintain a systematic payment schedule to meet due dates and take advantage of early payment discounts
Leverage expertise in AP, check processing, expense reporting, and Form 1099 to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Maintain positive relationships with vendors and address any payment-related inquiries or concerns
Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoice processing with vendors or internal departments
Assist in the processing expense reports and compiling month end accruals
Provide accurate and up-to-date accounts payable data for cash forecasting
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations
Maintain organized and secure records of all accounts payable transactions
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the accounts payable workflow
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and best practices
Assist with audits and review of payment data and provide necessary documentation as required

Qualification
Required
Proficiency in accounting systems and payment processing systems
Knowledge of 1099s and AP regulations
Ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment
2-3 years knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (A/P)
Preferred
preferred experience in accounting & auditing
