Fiscal Specialist 1
The University of Washington’s Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking a Fiscal Specialist 1 to manage a broad range of financial duties. The role involves assisting the Division Finance Manager with over 350 budgets, including clinical trial and grant budgets, while ensuring compliance and maintaining fiscal documentation.

Responsibilities
Pay invoices through PO, Non-PO, procard and other UW payment methods
Create PO’s for recurring invoices and sub-awards, communicate with vendors to submit invoices to PO’s
Process research subject payments, faculty staff and patient reimbursements in Workday
Extend Worktags in advance of end date
Reconcile and invoice for centrally held contracts
Register new suppliers/vendors
Maintain all fiscal documentation required for audit/regulatory compliance
Monitor and manage Division central finance email
Keep trackers and information sheets up to date
Assist with ECC reviews
Perform other duties as requested
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience providing administrative support in the area of fiscal and/or business management or equivalent education/experience
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
Preferred
Experience with UW procurement and travel policies and procedures
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Effective organizational, written communication, and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
Strong math and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and concurrently on multiple projects with frequent interruption
Possess and eagerness to work in an environment with a healthy workload of paper and electronic tasks
Maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
