The Industrial Field Sales Representative will execute sales strategies, manage accounts, and build relationships with customers to increase sales and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned accounts
Call prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and create a customer supplier relationship
Increase sales in respective accounts
Prepare sales information for customers
Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts
Secure and place orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment
Determine clients’ requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products, services and/or solutions
Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
Provide accurate information regarding availability and pricing of in-stock items and non-stock items
Proactively recommend items needed by clients to increase efficiency and improve transaction profitability
Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering featured promotional sale items
Educate clients about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and client satisfaction
Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
Contact clients following sales to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and resolve and complaint
Remain current on client preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows and reading trade journals
Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team
Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, Tour De Force and other common office equipment and software
Follow company policies and procedures
Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors
Excellent written and oral communication

Required

5 plus yrs. experience in Outside B to B Sales or related field
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, and Tour De Force
Ability to multitask in a fast paced changing and dynamic work environment
Must possess strong organizational skills
Works well in a group/team setting with limited amounts of supervision
Prior experience in Industrial Sales and/or Distribution
