Responsibilities

Assist with policy development relating to building decarbonization in various rulemakings and work relating to zonal electrification, as directed by SB 1221 (Min, 2024)

Oversee implementation of CPUC building decarbonization policy and/or programs

Provide regulatory oversight for large energy programs

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams

Develop technical research and oversee evaluation studies

Lead meetings and provide presentations

Achieve the state's goals of addressing climate change through building electrification

Required

Experience related to public utilities and/or transportation in the areas of economics, finance, or policy

Experience with California regulatory policies relating to one or more demand side programs (Energy Efficiency, Demand Response, Customer Generation, Building Decarbonization, etc.) and their management, evaluation, cost-effectiveness and/or other metrics, and related policy issues

Ability to conduct technical, economic, financial and/or policy research and analysis, identify issues, and make suitable recommendations based on research and analysis

Ability to collaborate with colleagues and establish and maintain cooperative and positive working relationships

Submission of a completed STD 678 application form

Submission of a copy of your transcript or diploma if using education to meet minimum qualifications

Verification of United States course/degree equivalency for foreign degrees/transcripts

Completion of the required application package documents including the current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 or the Electronic State Employment Application

Submission of a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) addressing specific questions related to experience and qualifications
