Director, Market Intelligence & Analytics

Lineage is building its first formal market intelligence capability and is seeking a Director of Market Intelligence & Analytics. This role involves designing analytical models and frameworks to provide insights for strategic decision-making and improve commercial performance across various markets.

Responsibilities

Develop Lineage’s inaugural market intelligence capability, defining its charter, methodologies, and operating rhythm in close partnership with Strategy, Finance, Data Science, Sales Excellence, Focus Markets and Technology
Leverage Lineage’s technology stack and data infrastructure to develop predictive, scenario-based analytical models incorporating internal and external variables such as demand shifts, energy markets, commodity pricing, labor trends, power dynamics, policy changes, and climate impacts
Own the enterprise market-sensing and early-warning system, integrating internal and external signals to forecast demand shifts, competitive moves, and macro supply chain disruptions
Translate high-dimensional data into clear, validated and actionable insights/recommendations that guide commercial strategy, network optimization, pricing approaches, and investment decisions
Create structured enterprise intelligence reports and dynamic dashboards that integrate real-time signals from across the cold chain ecosystem—energy, agriculture, logistics, and food manufacturing
Creating actionable insights to the decision-making level to drive efficiency and enable commercial execution
Partner with the VP, Regional Focus Market and regional commercial leaders to secure aligned, market intelligence deliverables to strategic priorities and inform go-to-market decisions
Partner with Finance, Product, Data Science and Technology teams to integrate intelligence into forecasting, contract evaluation, and product innovation initiatives
Partner with Technology and Data Science teams to define Market Intelligence data architecture requirements and advance AI-based analytical models
Lead a small, high-impact team (1-2 analysts, initially), cultivating advanced analytical capabilities and expanding scope as business needs evolve
Identify data gaps, process inefficiencies, and new data sources to elevate analytical sophistication and market coverage to drive continuous improvement
Establish and govern Lineage’s market intelligence standards, including methodology, validation, reporting cadence, and adoption

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or related field
10+ years of experience in market intelligence, analytics, or data science, preferably within logistics, supply chain, or adjacent industries
Demonstrated ability to design and implement new analytical frameworks and intelligence platforms
Advanced technical skills in SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Sigma or Power BI
Experience working with enterprise data environments and cloud analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS)
Strong understanding of commercial operations, customer contracts, and pricing dynamics
Proven ability to synthesize complex data into strategic insights and present them clearly to senior business leaders
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across technical and business domains
