Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems

Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines

Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units

Install and test new generator units

Respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency

Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner

Prepare accurate quotes for repairs

Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma or GED required

1-5 years or more of generator experience required

Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

Good communication skills both written and verbal

Exceptional customer service skills

Preferred

Technical School Certificate or Military training, a plus

Experience with Kohler Power Systems a plus
