HighRes Biosolutions is seeking an experienced VP of Accounting and Finance to join their Finance Team. The ideal candidate will lead accounting functions, oversee financial reporting and compliance, and drive process improvements to support strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team

Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant standards

Lead all technical accounting research and implementation, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP for complex transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, equity, and business acquisitions

Oversee external audits and relationships with auditors, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintenance of proper documentation

Manage the internal audit function, ensuring regular reconciliations, reviews, and assessments of financial systems, policies, and procedures

Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting

Oversee the treasury function, including cash management, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and manage working capital

Ensure efficient and scalable accounting processes to support the company’s growth, including automation and process improvements in conjunction with new ERP system (Microsoft D365)

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and reconciliation of accounts

Oversee cost accounting, which includes work order review; establish and maintain product/project costs and inventory accounting

Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to align accounting practices with strategic goals, providing insight into financial planning and decision-making

Leverage accounting and financial systems to enhance reporting capabilities and drive operational efficiency
