Structural Project Engineer (Fresno, CA)
TETER Architects and Engineers is dedicated to designing safe, innovative, and inspiring public education facilities across California. They are seeking a Structural Project Engineer to lead structural design for DSA-regulated projects and manage project quality, schedule, and scope while mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities
Lead structural design for DSA-regulated projects, including vertical and lateral load systems
Produce and oversee structural drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT
Conduct and review structural calculations and design criteria
Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams
Support or lead construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits
Manage project quality, schedule, and scope
Mentor junior staff and contribute to department standards and QA/QC processes
Serve as Engineer-of-Record on structural-only projects (Level II)
Qualification
Required
Current registration as a Structural Engineer in California
Minimum 3–5 years (Level I) or 5–8 years (Level II) of experience as a licensed engineer
Demonstrated experience with DSA projects in California's public education sector
Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Microsoft Office
Strong understanding of CBC, IBC, ASCE 7, and DSA requirements
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff
Preferred
Familiarity with project management software (Deltek Vantagepoint)
