Responsibilities
Coordinate promotion of the WIC lactation program while encouraging clients
Provide specific promotion and education services monthly throughout a WIC client's pregnancy and at least monthly throughout the course of lactation
Work at least 80% of working hours from WIC locations
Receive calls from home and outside of normal work hours
Possess a telephone and be willing to receive calls from home and outside of normal work hours
Proper training in use of equipment and delivery of equipment to clients is required
Some travel is required
Qualification
Required
Experience breastfeeding at least one infant for a period no less than three (3) months
Enthusiasm about breastfeeding
Desire to help other mothers enjoy a positive breastfeeding experience
Ability to work the number of hours assigned
Ability to work at least 80% of working hours from WIC locations
Possess a telephone and be willing to receive calls from home and outside of normal work hours
Possess an associate's degree (AA) and one (1) year breastfeeding experience
Proper training in use of equipment and delivery of equipment to clients
Some travel is required
Preferred
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of experience
