Responsibilities

Manage your direct reports and support their professional development and career path. Including setting up 1:1s, performance management, hiring and promotions

Work closely with designers, artists and other developers to understand their needs and ensure that your team is aligned with everyone to deliver on the expectations

Guiding your team to build and enhance UI features

Maintenance and optimization of existing systems

Creating new features for the user interface framework

Implementing tools for UI artists and designers

Tracking and fixing bugs in game user interface and user interface framework

Managing and completing tasks effectively and on time, while creating high quality code

Qualification

Required

At least 7 years of professional experience as a UI programmer/engineer within the games industry

3+ years of leadership experience

Understanding player needs in terms of successful user interface of modern video games

Ability to build user interface in a way that is accessible to everyone

Strong proficiency in C++ programming and knowledge of Unreal Engine

Proficiency in algorithms and code architecture

Debugging and optimization skills

Strong attention to detail and quality

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required

Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and respectfully in a multicultural and multilingual environment across time zones is essential

Preferred

Experience working with Common UI in Unreal
