Responsibilities
Assist in the safe and efficient movement of patients between departments, ensuring comfort and documentation
Manage and deliver ICU and inpatient beds as needed, following safety protocols
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of oncology case carts with necessary supplies
Collect and transport specimens and cultures, maintaining sample integrity
Retrieve and distribute medical supplies from central storage to various departments
Transport blood products to required departments, adhering to handling guidelines
Qualification
Required
Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: a.) currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN); b.) have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN and c.) cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; or 3.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
