Shining Light Consulting LLC is a boutique municipal advisory and financial consulting firm providing strategic, data-driven advisory services to public-sector and quasi-public clients. The Municipal Advisor Representative will provide municipal advisory services in compliance with MSRB and SEC regulations, support client engagements, and operate under the supervision of a Series 54 Municipal Advisor Principal.

Business Consulting and Services

Responsibilities

Provide municipal advisory services to public-sector clients in compliance with MSRB Rule G-42 (Duties of Municipal Advisors)

Support clients with:

Financial planning and analysis

Capital planning and debt-related advisory services

Review of financing structures and alternatives

Prepare and review advisory deliverables, memoranda, and analyses

Participate in client meetings and provide clear, well-supported financial guidance

Maintain accurate records in accordance with MSRB Rules G-8 and G-9

Adhere to firm Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs) and compliance protocols

Coordinate with the Municipal Advisor Principal / CCO on compliance matters

Support proposal development and responses to RFPs/RFQs, as needed

Required

Active Series 50 (Municipal Advisor Representative) license in good standing

Experience working at an SEC- and MSRB-registered Municipal Advisor

Working knowledge of MSRB rules applicable to municipal advisors, including: G-42 (Fiduciary Duty), G-44 (Supervisory and Compliance Obligations), G-8 / G-9 (Books and Records)

Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently while adhering to supervisory and compliance requirements
