Responsibilities
Collecting Urine Drug Screens: This role primarily collects observed urine samples in our lab and documents in our medical record system
Patient Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments and ensure timely and accurate scheduling
Collecting Vitals & Patient Information: Take and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and gather essential patient information
Phone Handling & Patient Interaction: Answer phone calls, assist patients with inquiries, and provide direction as needed
Patient Registration: Admit and register patients into the clinic system, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
Data & Record Keeping: Accurately input patient data into the clinic’s electronic health record (EHR) system and maintain updated patient files
Facility Maintenance: Assist with building upkeep, cleaning, and ensuring the clinic environment is safe and welcoming
Communication with Medical Staff: Relay information between patients and medical providers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient care
Customer Service & Patient-Centered Care: Provide exceptional service to patients by assisting with inquiries, directing them to appropriate services, and fostering a compassionate and supportive clinic atmosphere
Crisis Management & De-escalation: Demonstrate competency in verbal de-escalation, crisis intervention techniques, and maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in stressful situations
Regulatory Compliance: Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and other safety protocols to ensure patient confidentiality and a safe work environment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience can substitute for educational requirements in some cases
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with office software and EHR systems
Reliable transportation is required for commuting to the clinic
Strong organizational and time management skills are essential
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment
Valid driver's license is required
Preferred
Experience in a medical clinic or addiction treatment setting is preferred. However, willingness to learn and grow in the field is equally valued
