Vascular Access Nurse Consultant - PICC RN
VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services. The Vascular Access Nurse Consultant will work collaboratively with clinical teams to resolve venous access issues, providing essential support and education in various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities
Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and use ECG confirmation
Assist with management of PICCs and Vascular Access devices
Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including but not limited to port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc
Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD's
Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs
Full-time scheduling requirements include three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation
Part-time (Per Diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of 4 scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation
Qualification
Required
Registered Nurse with current license
American Heart BLS Certification
Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs
Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
Must possess a smart phone
Must LOVE vascular access!
Preferred
Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care
Experience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound
