The Equipment Control Technician ensures continuity of patient care by providing sufficient quantities of clean and functional patient care equipment to nursing units and operates the Medical Equipment Management System (MEMS) for tracking and charging purposes.

Responsibilities

Ensures quality patient care by the delivery of patient care equipment to the nursing units

Assures the placement of specialty beds according to Department of nursing policy

Ensures the proper charging of patient equipment use through MEMS

Performs a complete daily floor check for equipment inventory and patient charging purposes

Qualification

Required

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Ability to keep accurate records

Ability to converse with various health care professionals

Must be able to walk long distances

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
