Responsibilities
Develop Route Propagation System: Design, develop, and implement a scalable and efficient route propagation system
Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues to ensure smooth and reliable system operation
Design Documentation: Create detailed design documents to support the development and maintenance of the route propagation system
Code Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
Unit Testing: Develop and execute unit tests to ensure the quality and functionality of the code
Routing Protocols Knowledge: Apply knowledge of routing protocols to optimize and enhance the route propagation system
Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical support, and ensure project success
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in routing protocols and software development practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in software development, particularly in developing route propagation systems
Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, Python, Java, C++, or similar
Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, RIP), experience with open source routing is preferred
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise design documents
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions
Preferred
Relevant certifications in software development or networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP routing or relevant industry certification)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
