Business Banking Risk - Special Credits Specialist III

As a Special Credits Specialist, you will support Credits Officers with the administration of problem credit loans and participate in the ownership of customer satisfaction through timely follow-up and resolution of issues.

Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the loan process and follow up on vendor work to ensure completion
Coordinate loan documentation and facilitate successful loan closings
Generate and work reports to support the workout process, including maturity, delinquency, and exceptions
Contact customers via email or letter to request required financial information
Process advances, payments, overdrafts, invoices, check requests, booking packages, maintenance requests, and research requests
Handle mail processing, including sending legal packages and loan documentation to outside counsel
Adhere to regulatory requirements and compliance standards in all activities
Multi-task efficiently and maintain a strong sense of urgency in daily operations
Pass quality control and quality assurance tests on all tasks performed
Qualification
Required
Requires 2+ years of total related experience in the financial industry or similar position in business loan processing, commercial lending support environment and/or loan operations
Ability to review and understand complex loan structures and business loan documentation
Ability to establish credibility and rapport, be friendly and personable and look for ways to benefit the customer
Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
Demonstrated analytical/problem solving & follow-up skills
General administrative skills: filing, typing, and organizing information
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to focus on accuracy with attention to detail
Work effectively in a team environment, while assuming individual responsibility
A self-starter, and an independent thinker
Preferred
College degree preferred or High school degree/GED or foreign equivalent
Working knowledge of the Bank's products, services, policies/procedures and ability to follow policies/procedures
