Responsibilities
Manage other discipline engineers and perform electrical work on a variety of projects
Electrical system analysis including load flow, short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies
Engineering of microgrid (distributed generation), battery storage energy systems, and photovoltaic electrical systems including studies and system modeling
Electrical design in accordance with the NEC, including providing power to medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, mechanical building systems, and lighting systems
Campus distribution and building low-voltage systems
Work with European voltage systems and standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
2 - 8 years of experience
This would be for people with industrial, water/wastewater, federal, and power generation experience
Understanding of developing engineering drawings and specifications
Perform basic engineering calculations
Assist in sizing, selecting, and specifying electrical equipment and coordinating information with vendors
Perform project field site visits
Designing medium- and low-voltage electrical systems
Computer programs: ETAP, SKM or Easypower; AGI or Visual Lighting Software
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have a general understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
Preferred
FE or PE depending on experience level
AutoCAD/Revit is a plus
