Responsibilities

Assists in the beginning stages of a case being referred to and accepted by the office

Advances the case through the judicial system in an appropriate manner

Seeks a just resolution in all cases

Handles their caseload and provides relevant information for reporting

Handles miscellaneous matters assigned, including attending and conducting training

Juris Doctorate Degree

Five or more years of practicing experience, preferably in a Public Defender's or Solicitor's Office or equivalent Criminal Prosecution/Defence experience

Must be a member and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar

Must satisfy Rule 403 requirements
