The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is a leading urban public research university. They are seeking a full-time non-tenure-track faculty member to teach various civil engineering courses and provide service to the university and the profession.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering, including engineering surveying, civil engineering drawing and design, capstone-level engineering design, and other service courses
Additional responsibilities include mentoring senior design projects, advising student organizations, holding office hours, providing academic advising, participating in course and program assessment, and contributing service to the university and the profession
Qualification
Required
PhD in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) registration—or demonstrated progress toward licensure—by the time applying for promotion
Prior teaching experience in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering curriculum
Preferred
Proven excellence teaching experience as the 'instructor of record' in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program
A minimum of five years of professional experience
