Postdoctoral Research Scholar
The University of South Florida College of Marine Science is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to conduct research in Antarctic Ice Sheet and Paleoclimate Modeling. The successful candidate will run model experiments to investigate ice sheet variability and its impacts on climate and sea level, collaborating closely with researchers from Victoria University of Wellington.

Responsibilities
Run model experiments to investigate millennial-scale Antarctic ice sheet variability and impacts on sea level and climate during warm climate intervals
Integrate model results with geologic records
Collaborate with researchers from Victoria University of Wellington’s Antarctic Research Centre and Earth Sciences New Zealand
Qualification
Required
PhD in Earth Sciences or related field at the time of appointment
Research interest in ice sheet dynamics, paleoclimatology, and/or sea level change
Demonstrated scientific programming experience
Demonstrated ability to write and publish papers
Preferred
Prior experience with ice sheet modeling
Prior experience with climate modeling
Prior experience with glacial isostatic adjustment modeling
