Heat Treat Operator - 2WW Shift (Onsite)
Pratt & Whitney is working to transform the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing engines. They are seeking an Entry-Level Heat Treating Technician to support the team in performing basic heat treat processes on jet engine parts and other components.

Responsibilities
Assist in performing basic heat treatment processes like stress relieving, hardening, and annealing based on written instructions
Help set up and operate electric, vacuum, and gas furnaces under supervision
Load parts onto fixtures and into furnaces following established guidelines
Use basic computer controls to adjust temperature settings and time cycles under the guidance of senior technicians
Monitor and assist in maintaining the correct temperature and cooling rates during heat treat cycles
Assist in setting thermocouples and ensuring accurate temperature readings
Help inspect parts for hardness and report results to the supervisor
Follow proper safety and handling procedures when unloading parts from furnaces
Keep work area clean and organized
Work with the team to ensure production deadlines are met
Participate in training to develop heat treating skills and knowledge
Be flexible with shifts and overtime to support department goals and maintain workflow
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma or GED
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Prior experience reading and following work instructions
Preferred
Prior Manufacturing experience is a plus
Past experience reading Forge blueprints
