They are seeking an intern to gain practical experience in environmental consulting projects, assisting with fieldwork, data analysis, and preparing technical reports.
Environmental Consulting
Responsibilities
Assisting with fieldwork (e.g., sampling of various media, site inspections, and in a support role for field engineers/geologists/scientists)
Researching, collecting, and entering data, and applying technical principles to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
Assisting in preparing environmental investigative project designs, plans, and conceptual models
Performing preliminary human health and ecological risk calculations and modeling
Assisting with environmental assessments
Preparing technical reports
The position may include travel
Qualification
Required
Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Geology
Relevant courses related to principles of environmental science, geology, or similar
Proficient in MS Office products
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Able to conduct some fieldwork with occasional heavy lifting
Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members
Must have a valid driver's license
Internship or coop experience
Preferred
Experience in ArcGIS and AutoCAD
40-hour HAZWOPER training
Affiliation and/or certifications with professional associations and networking capabilities
