Project Engineer (Tate Flooring), Mechanical

They are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Project Engineer to support the delivery of manufacturing projects from concept through to completion, working closely with various disciplines and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering aspects of projects, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Coordinate with mechanical, controls, and civil disciplines to ensure full project integration
Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure technical and schedule requirements are met
Monitor progress against project timelines and budgets; escalate risks or deviations as needed
Prepare documentation such as risk assessments, method statements, and technical reports
Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
Participate in design reviews, site meetings, and commissioning activities
Identify opportunities for process improvement or cost reduction

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or related field
2+ years' experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or capital project environment
Familiarity with project documentation, commissioning processes, and regulatory standards
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to manage priorities and work effectively with limited supervision
Willingness to travel to project sites as required

Preferred

Experience with CAD software or electrical design tools is desirable
