Intern Supply Chain (Summer 2026)
Parker Hannifin is a global provider of heavy-duty filtration products for engine powered equipment. They are seeking an Intern for Supply Chain to assist with processing material requisitions, preparing purchase orders, and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities
Processes material requisitions, completes purchase orders, and forwards to supervisor for approval following departmental procedures
Expedites purchase orders, securing required delivery dates and quantities
Interviews vendors and investigates sources of supply consistent with lowest cost and acceptable quality standards
Maintains good relationships with all vendor companies and their representatives
Negotiates with appropriate vendors for the return and/or replacement of rejected materials
Orders raw materials and filters as requested by Production Control department
Keeps Director - Purchasing informed of new materials and supplies which may be applicable to subsidiary operations. Also informs of conditions in vendors plants which might adversely affect the cost or availability of materials
Becomes familiar with the material usage requirements for subsidiary operations. Assures that vendors are advised of pertinent information
Becomes familiar with applicable federal and state regulations, federal priority regulations, and other rules affecting purchases. Properly applies such information in performance of job responsibilities
Completes paperwork as required including price change report, debit memos, and freight claim forms
Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies
Qualification
Required
Candidate must be able to work a minimum of 20-30 hours per week during the school year and full time during the summer months (will be flexible around class commitments)
Currently in their Sophomore year or greater and pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
