Responsibilities

Requires a basis knowledge of fusion welding processes and terminology
Basic math & reading skills
Basic hoist operation
Basic computer skills
Basic PIV operation
Basic understanding of Mig and Tig welding
Prepare all parts to be fitted together for fabrication, i.e., grinding, polishing, and cleaning
Perform routine maintenance work on equipment to optimize uptime
Comply with all company rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook
May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills
Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment
The position will work a schedule of Friday - Sunday (3x12) 7:00pm - 7:00am (5th shift)

Required

HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Must have a good attendance record
Must have strong communication skills
Must be able to work overtime when required
Must be able to wear a respirator
Must have strong mechanical aptitude
The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds
