Responsibilities
Responsible for month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
Assist with assigned month-end close tasks - manage accruals and prepaids expenses, conduct thorough P&L review and GL coding
Responsible for assigned account reconciliation process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled accurately and on time
Review work performed by staff accountant and provide training as needed
Work closely with Controller and coordinate with the appropriate departments to ensure timely deliverables for the month-end close
Assist with external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes are in order
Prepare and prepare lease accounting ASC 842 monthly entry and reconciliation
Act as a key stakeholder in the upcoming transition to a new ERP system assisting with data migration and process design
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations
Demonstrated experience in process improvement and a strong interest in leveraging technology to enhance financial operations
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
CPA certification is strongly preferred
Prior experience with ERP system implementation or migration is a plus
Proficiency with accounting software; Great Plains, Sage Intacct or similar system experience is a plus
