Responsibilities

Use hand tools, knives, or equipment to perform job tasks

Work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Work around animal blood, carcass parts, and unpleasant odors

Stand on hard surface or elevated platform the entire shift; use stairway, steps, ladders or platforms

Knife jobs require good knife sharpening skills to meet production standards

Comply with all food safety policies and regulations

Adhere to and promote a strong safety culture. Follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions

Be respectful of and able to work in a culturally diverse population
