The State of Alaska's Department of Health is seeking a Procurement Specialist 2 to lead transformational changes in Alaska’s health care system. In this pivotal role, the individual will develop, award, and administer procurement transactions while providing assistance for the Office of Health Savings.

Responsibilities

Develop, award, and administer journey-level procurement transactions with delegated authority
Perform formal and informal procurements, including Request for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Waivers, and Request for Alternate Procurements (RAPs), resulting in contract awards
Provide procurement assistance/services for the Office of Health Savings within the Commissioner’s office
Provide regular and timely maintenance and upkeep of procurement files

Equivalent to those typically gained by any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or experience in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, project management, or a related field performing property control, purchasing, contract administration, writing or approving solicitations, explaining contracting requirements, developing or approving product specifications or developing or approving a scope of work for professional services
Some positions in the series may require an Alaska driver's license
